NVIDIA partners may be unable to order RTX 5090 kits

Cowcotland, citing statements by Der8auer in a video, reports that NVIDIA partners may no longer be able to order RTX 5090 kits containing the GB202 GPU and GDDR7 memory. The reported ordering issue does not confirm that production has ended, while memory supply remains a concern.

NVIDIA partners may be unable to order RTX 5090 kits

NVIDIA partners may no longer be able to order RTX 5090 kits, Cowcotland reports, citing statements by Der8auer in a video. The kits include the GB202 GPU and GDDR7 memory. The reported ordering restriction is causing concern among the company’s longtime partners.

The issue comes as RTX 5090 availability is described as precarious. NVIDIA had previously denied that production of the graphics card was ending. The reported difficulty ordering kits therefore does not, by itself, mean the card has reached the end of its commercial life.

Cowcotland also points to difficulties obtaining GDDR7 memory chips. NVIDIA was reportedly considering selling GPUs on their own, which would leave each partner responsible for sourcing the memory. The report describes that task as difficult under current supply conditions.
